Susan G. Komen® Utah is the local source for funding breast cancer detection, support and educational awareness in the state. Since 1996 Komen Utah  has invested more than $6 million in education, diagnosis, treatment and support programs that serve uninsured or underinsured Utah residents. To learn more about how these programs and services are selected for funding by Komen Utah click here.

Active Re-Entry provides daily transportation from Emery and Carbon counties for cancer patients, including those with breast cancer, to receive radiation treatments and medical services in Utah County.


American Cancer Society
American Cancer Society has a huge list of resources from free wigs, and feel better programs, to rides,  retreats, support groups, lodging and more.

Cancer Wellness House
Cancer Wellness House has developed a unique program that addresses physical, emotional and social needs of individuals and families dealing with breast cancer.

Community Nursing Services
provides home health and hospice care for breast cancer patients in their care.

Comunidades Unidas
runs a program for immigrant and refugee women providing navigation and case management services, as well as breast health education with direct referrals to and assistance attending screening services and follow-up.

Hunstman Cancer Institute
The Linda B. and Robert B. Wiggins Wellness and Integrative Health Center offers programs and services for mind, body, nutrition, creative arts, physical activity and more.

Image Reborn Foundation
provides no-cost Renewal Retreats for Breast Cancer Survivors: Young, Stage IV, Hispanic, and General.  Assisting women at different stages of breast cancer reclaim their lives through free retreats designed to heal and renew.

Intermountain Healthcare – Southwest Region
runs the Mammogram 500 program which provides free mammography screening for uninsured women 40 and over in southwest Utah

Maliheh Free Clinic
provides free services to uninsured and underserved women in the Greater Salt Lake area by providing breast health education, clinical breast exams and onsite screening mammography to all eligible clinic patients.

People’s Health Clinic
rovides free clinical breast exams and mammography to uninsured, ethnically diverse women aged 40 and over in Summit and Wasatch counties.

Quality Life Community

provides yoga classes that aid in reducing side effects of treatment for breast cancer including, loss of motion, lymphedema, fatigue, stress and anxiety.

Salt Lake County Health Department
The Women’s Cancer Screening program provides free clinical breast exams, pelvic exams and pap tests to underinsured or uninsured women, ages 40–64, who meet income guidelines. Women who receive a clinical breast exam also get a voucher for a free mammogram at an area breast imaging center.

Most other local health departments also offer BeWise and cancer screening programs to women in their jurisdictions. More information for women in those areas is available via the respective departments:

St. Mark’s Hospital
The free mammogram program at St. Mark’s Hospital allows women to get a free mammogram screening and provides follow up diagnostics for those whose mammograms test positive for abnormalities or breast cancer.

Utah Cancer Control Program

provides free diagnostic services to uninsured or underinsured women under 40 who present with symptoms. Low-cost and free options through out the state of Utah.
